Xena

This is Xena, the most precious thing in the known universe. She is so sweet and lovely that everything she does is adorable, even when she occasionally poos on the floor (she's not that bright and doesn't quite understand the litter tray). She's nearly 15 now, which makes me very sad.

This is a picture of her doing one of her favourite things, sitting in the patch of sunlight coming in through the French windows. She did a good job of looking at the camera.

(I would just like to add that I am in no way responsible for the carpet - it was there when we moved in.)

My House

This is my house, which I've lived in for over a year now. It's nothing special but I like it here, apart from the noisy neighbours. That's my mum's bedroom window at the front and mine is round the back.

Pip

I'm not copying, I just couldn't wait any longer to introduce one of my two favourite things in the whole world. :-)

This is Pip (aka Fluffy), sleeping on my bedroom window sill. What can I say about him? He's far too much of a character for one paragraph. He's gorgeous, and mad, and funny, and cuddly, and a bit pathetic. Or according to my mum, "a big, fat, greedy wimp". He can be a bit of a pest at times, and usually wakes me up for food during the night! He's scared of plastic bags, tin foil, the dried food box, leaves and various other things, and he lets all the neighbourhood cats wander into his house whenever they want. He's got gorgeous, thick, soft fur so he's great to cuddle. He definitely keeps me entertained.

The Buttercross

This is the Buttercross, one of the oldest structures in my town. You can't see it very well because of the repair works, but the central pillar is said to be over 1000 years old. It was used as a kind of market stall where people would meet to sell things like butter, which is where the name comes from.

If you notice the English flags hanging from the pub behind the Buttercross... that's because there's an England football game this weekend, not because people are actually patriotic or anything like that. :-)
